Customer Service Officer - Cairns Marlin Marina (6 Month Contract)

Ports North is responsible for the development and management of port facilities vital to the development of Cairns and regional centres in Far North Queensland.  The Corporation has extensive property, marina, tourism and cargo facilities in Cairns and its regional ports. 

As part of our Operations Team, the Customer Service Officer will be required to provide effective support and assistance in the day to day operations of the Cairns Marlin Marina and also the wider Port of Cairns by providing services to customers and stakeholders including berth management, vessel berthing and servicing, marina operations, general security, communications, administration, customer assistance and general port related services.

The successful applicant will be a team player with well developed customer service and communication skills.  A current driver’s licence, computer literacy and exceptional interpersonal skills along with the ability to satisfy the criteria for obtaining a Maritime Security Identification Card will be essential for this role.

Primary support to the Marina team is often focused during the first half of the day and accordingly the role may be considered on a part-time basis for the right candidate.
